In this research study, we use play-based tasks to see what toddlers remember and whether small changes in the play experience can strengthen their memory. Children participate in a two-room hiding game and we look at their memory for the what, when, and where details of their experiences!
MEMORY Study
- Ages: 18 to 41 months
- This study involves 1-2 visits to the CAP Lab (UConn Waterbury or Storrs).
- Visits typically last about 30–60 minutes each.
- A second optional visit is part of our aim of seeing how sleep affects toddlers’ memory.
- Parents complete questionnaires during the visit.
- At the end of participation, children receive a certificate of completion and a small thank-you gift for their time and effort.
